Mobile RFID Deployment Checklist
Prepare the reader, host, application, and operating routine as one deployable workflow.
Document the configuration
Record the exact host and reader models, operating system, application, accessories, and connection method. Include enrollment, authentication, charging, and replacement arrangements. A deployment list should let another person reproduce the working setup.
Test operator feedback
Check what happens after a successful read, no read, unknown identifier, or lost connection. The operator should understand whether the task is complete. Evaluate screen use and carrying arrangements with representative clothing and work conditions.
Scope disconnected behavior
Decide whether offline work is required. If it is, define local storage, permissions, queue status, synchronization, and conflicts. Test a connection interruption in the middle of a task and confirm that recovery does not lose or duplicate the business action.
Prepare support and rollout
Write a short task guide and a recovery checklist. Identify the information support needs and the approved channel for diagnostic evidence. Deploy in stages with explicit acceptance criteria before adding more devices, locations, or workflows.
Pack the complete working setup
Include the exact host, reader, carry arrangement, charging equipment, and application build in a pilot kit. Verify how the operator signs in, starts a task, recognizes an error, and completes work. Test in the same type of space and handling conditions expected in operation. A successful connection at a desk does not exercise carrying, reach, or task coverage.
Rehearse interrupted work
Specify what happens when the application closes, a connection drops, or a task is handed to another operator. If offline capture is required, test how locally held work is identified, protected, synchronized, and reviewed. Avoid displaying completion until the relevant completion condition has actually been met. Separate local capture success from acceptance by the destination system.
