
From RFID Events to AI-Assisted Operations
Use trustworthy operational records as the foundation for AI-assisted summaries and workflows.
Create reliable events first
Begin with identifier mapping, deduplication, timestamps, and task context. If the underlying event stream cannot distinguish an observation from a completed transaction, a fluent summary can hide uncertainty rather than resolve it. Establish the authoritative inventory and asset records first.
Choose a bounded assistance task
Useful project discussions include finding approved procedures, summarizing recorded exceptions, and explaining a sequence of operational events. Specify what the assistant may access and how it cites evidence. Start with a task whose output a responsible person can evaluate.
Keep factual answers grounded
Inventory answers should come from the source record with its capture time and scope. When data is missing or stale, make that limitation visible. Generated language should not invent counts, status, or reasons for a discrepancy.
Control actions separately
An assistant that proposes a next step is different from a system that changes inventory. Define permissions, review, audit records, and recovery for each action. Evaluate wrong-source retrieval and unsupported answers as part of acceptance testing, and scope any private or offline architecture explicitly.
Make an answer traceable
A useful inventory explanation identifies the underlying task, record, and time. If two systems disagree, preserve the disagreement rather than asking a language model to choose a plausible number. Scope retrieval to records the user is entitled to access and show the basis for a summary. Evaluate unanswered and ambiguous questions as well as successful ones.
Separate explanation from action
A proposed assistant might summarize an unresolved count and suggest the next review step. Changing stock or closing an exception is a different permission. Define who approves the action, what validation runs, and what evidence is logged. This is a proposed workflow pattern, not a claim that a particular automated connector or accuracy level is already available.
